Course Overview
This short course will provide you with a quick revision of the condition and is suitable for any non specialist healthcare professional that deals with travellers at risk of malaria.
Malaria is a potentially fatal tropical disease that spreads through the bite of mosquitoes that are infected with a parasite called Plasmodium. Malaria is found in over 100 countries throughout the world. In this online course you will learn more about what malaria is, how it is transmitted and the life cycle of the malaria parasite. The course also covers topics such as high risk areas, symptoms, and the A, B, C, D prevention measures.

By the end of this course you will understand:

- What the optimal conditions for mosquito breeding are.
- The symptoms of malaria.
- The importance of mosquito bite prevention in preventing malaria.
- Treatments available for malaria prophylaxis.
