Working Effectively On A Team eLearning Course
Course Overview
Teamwork can achieve things that an individual working alone cannot. When a team successfully mixes together the skills, experience, and ideas of its members, it can efficiently tackle difficult tasks and come up with innovative solutions. Productivity is increased and colleagues are able to support each other and perform at their best.
However, the mix of different people can also cause conflict. A dysfunctional team is both ineffective and has a negative impact on wellbeing in the workplace. Working well together doesn’t just happen by accident. It’s a skill that can be learnt. This course looks at what colleagues need to do to work well in a team.
Firstly, we look at the importance of setting goals and having a clear plan so that the team is working towards the same outcome. Then we look at how to collaborate successfully, including sharing ideas and information and the importance of embracing the consensus.
We then show the learner how to communicate clearly and openly so that tasks are understood and problems can be solved. Then we look at how to work together respectfully so that everyone in the team feels supported and appreciated.
This microlearning course is an animated video, with audio narration and a multiple-choice post-assessment.
