This course from Blocknorth gives managers and team leaders a clear, practical understanding of Microsoft 365 Copilot and how to use it in the parts of the job that take up the most time: planning, communication, meeting summaries and decision prep, with no technical background needed. You'll learn how to use Copilot well in your own role and how to help your team get started too.

Unit 1: Copilot for Managers: The Foundations

  • What Microsoft 365 Copilot is and the free Copilot Chat versus licensed distinction
  • Where Copilot appears across the apps a manager uses every day
  • How Copilot draws on your data and your team's data, and what that means for a manager
  • Why so many licensed users, managers included, are still not using it

Unit 2: Copilot in Your Management Day

  • Planning and status reporting
  • Communication with your team, peers and other managers
  • Meeting summaries and catching up on meetings you missed
  • Preparing for a decision and reporting upward to your own leadership

Unit 3: Prompting for Management Tasks and Leading Adoption

  • The four ingredients of a strong prompt applied to management writing
  • Refining a result instead of starting again
  • Agents at a high level, and when one might help a manager
  • Helping a direct report get started, and sharing prompts across a team

Unit 4: Safe, Responsible and Accountable Leadership

  • Verifying anything that goes to senior leadership, and hallucination
  • Fairness when drafting people related content, such as feedback
  • Data security for sensitive team information
  • Accountability, and setting simple guardrails for a team
