Course Overview

This course has been developed to provide the learner with an understanding of the risks associated with manual handling and an awareness of how to perform those tasks safely.

Learning Outcomes

This course will provide an understanding of:

• hazardous manual handling
• how to assess manual handling tasks
• ways of reducing the risk of injury, and
• techniques for performing manual handling tasks safely.

Target Audience

This course has been designed to provide training for staff working in Australia subject to Victorian occupational health and safety legislation.
