Overview

In this course, we will explore what you need to know in order to support an individual after a Legionnaires diagnosis and what to look out for.

We will also look at how the bacterial disease is transmitted and how best to prevent transmission.

• To gain an understanding of what Legionnaires' Disease is
• To gain an understanding of how individuals contract Legionnaires' and the signs and symptoms
• To gain an understanding of the diagnosis, progress, and treatment of Legionnaires' Disease
• To gain an understanding of how to prevent and reduce the risk of Legionnaires' Disease

Course Structure

This course has been designed in a non-linear and modular fashion which means you may complete the units in any order you wish.

The course will track your progress so don’t worry if you have to dip in and out.  There will be a knowledge check at the end of course which will become available once you have completed all of the prescribed units.
