Course Overview

This module will teach you what addiction is and how it develops, the risk factors and warning signs of addiction, the effect it can have on the workplace and how to make positive changes to tackle and overcome addiction. This will allow friends, family and colleagues to be more supportive and encouraging during the addict's recovery, resulting in better outcomes and more successful sobriety. It will also help the addict to understand themselves, their addiction and how/why it developed, making it easier to overcome and tackle. It not only provides emotional understanding but practical support.
