The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) are important for everything from large construction sites to general maintenance, refurbishment, design and demolition. Everyone involved has a responsibility to help keep work safe.

In this course, you'll explore who's responsible for what, the purpose of key documents, when to notify the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and what you can do to help keep projects safe and compliant.

  • Explain the purpose and scope of CDM
  • Identify key CDM duty holders and their responsibilities
  • Recognise the purpose of key CDM project documents
  • Describe safe behaviours that support CDM compliance
  • Identify when projects must be notified to the HSE
