Wellness at Work: Coping with Stress eLearning Course
Course Overview
Last year in the UK, work-related stress accounted for nearly 50% of all work absences. It’s the biggest wellbeing challenge businesses face, as well as a major obstacle to productivity.
The good news is that stress can be avoided and managed. This course helps learners to identify the main causes of stress, take action to change stressful situations, and adopt healthy coping habits.
First, the course unpacks the six situations which underlie most workplace stress, to help learners identify potential triggers in their own workplace.
Then we look at the mental effects of stress, including the ways it can affect your perception of the situation causing your stress. We see how these perception biases can result in unhelpful responses to stressors. This leads into some handy practical tips: action you can take to tackle stress head on.
Finally, we examine the effects of stress on lifestyle, so learners are prepared to recognise the negative behaviours which stress can cause. We look at some easy lifestyle adjustments which can help learners cope with stress in a healthy way.
This microlearning course is an animated video, with audio narration and a multiple-choice post-assessment.
