Overview

This short 30 minute course follows the RSPH Level 2 Health & Safety in the Workplace and covers the difference between a hazard and a risk and discusses who might be harmed and how in your workplace. It also looks at controls that could be put into place to minimize the risks of accidents occurring.

Course objectives

By the end of this module you will be able to identify:

  • Identify the differences between risks and hazards.
  • Explain how the five step risk assessment process impacts on safety in the workplace
  • Identify how the risks associated with identified hazards can be eliminated or minimised.
  • Describe the role you as an employee play in helping to implement the controls identified and agreed resulting from an assessment of risk
