- Recognise your responsibilities when working with contractors
- Describe how to evaluate the competence and suitability of contractors
- Identify the risk assessment requirements for contractors
- Describe how to provide contractors with a suitable induction
- Identify a plan for monitoring, reviewing, and providing feedback on the work of contractors
About the Course
When working with contractors, it can be difficult to work out where the contractor’s responsibilities end and where the employer’s responsibilities begin.
Employers remain ultimately responsible for health and safety on their premises. It is important for them to know how to choose appropriate contractors, evaluate their work and its safety and perform satisfactory induction processes.
