Overview

Health and safety is an important requirement for all organisations, especially in the education sector. All employers have a legal and moral duty to be satisfied that effective safety management systems are developed, implemented, monitored and reviewed to protect anybody who enters the place of education. Everybody has the right to go to work and return safely at the end of the day.

This Health and Safety in Education course has been designed for educational establishments and specifically the Senior Leadership Teams.

Objectives

By the end of this course you will have learned about:

• Developing effective safety management systems in line with the HSE’s Managing for Health and Safety framework HSG65
• Supporting with the demonstration of visible H&S leadership
• Providing clear direction of travel with the application of a sensible proportionate approach
