Overview

Frequently using power tools increases the risk of permanent and painful injuries to hands and arms. The more the tools are used, the more likely it is to be causing damage. The number of people in the UK suffering is likely much larger than we know due to symptoms often caused by other illnesses.

Understanding your tools and their exposure action value, being aware of signs and symptoms and conducting risk assessments before working with tools can all help to reduce the risk of long-term permanent injuries.
