Overview

Sanctions are ever-changing, and with many countries applying new sanctions laws on a regular basis, the topic is becoming impossible to avoid. Where many organisations hadn't previously identified sanctions risks, or required sanctions training, these are now requirements that many need to satisfy.  We identify different types of sanctions, examine their purpose and then explore some of the most current and widely-known sanctions regimes that exist.

• Understand the purpose of sanctions and how they can impact your role
• Recognise sanctions types and regimes that have an impact on your industry and role
• Navigate sanctions risks by correctly screening clients, and identifying and reporting matches
• Detail when you can and cannot do business with a person or entity who is connected to sanctions and avoid breaches
