Record keeping underpins good care and support by ensuring effective communication of an individual's support needs. This course aims to ensure the learner is able to complete all required documentation within care so that it complies with both legal and organisational requirements.  

Learning Outcomes

  • Identify reasons for keeping care records (including accountability)
  • Match the correct care records to use in relation to the activity
  • Examine features of good and accurate records
  • Discover when and why it may be necessary to breach client confidentiality
