With this equality and diversity training course you will learn about equality, diversity, and inclusion, and the benefits of promoting inclusion and diversity in the workplace.

The course talks about protected characteristics and explains the problems surrounding prejudice and discrimination at work.

Learning Objectives

  • Define the terms ‘equality’ and ‘diversity’
  • Understand how they can improve their own practice to promote equality and inclusion and know how to recognise and tackle discrimination
  • Understand the benefits of a diverse and inclusive workforce
  • Describe the nine ‘protected characteristics’ under the Equality Act and what they mean the legislation and the protection the Act provides
