Overview

This Foundation level course is designed for people working with Children and Young People who are victims or perpetrators of Bullying. The course will raise awareness of bullying, will encourage the learners to self-reflect on their practice in relation to bullying and will introduce strategies to manage it. It also covers the underpinning theories to support knowledge acquisition. The programme benefits from narrative scenarios and activities with ongoing assessment making it engaging and interactive.

Aims & Objectives:

  • Understand the nature of bullying.
  • Describe the consequences of bullying.
  • Identify the different types of bullying.
  • Recognise the signs and symptoms.
  • Explain how to manage an incident.
  • Help to support the victim and the perpetrator.
  • Help to reduce the number of incidents.

Health Care Workers, Social Care Workers, Children’s Centre Practitioners, Youth Workers, Education Workers
