Safeguarding is a shared responsibility throughout your school. But you and your school aren’t the only people involved in protecting the welfare of students. How can you go about collaborating with external agencies and other stakeholders to make sure the welfare of students is protected? And how can you contribute to making sure the voice of the child is always prioritised?

Working together to safeguard children is a statutory guidance document designed to support a multiagency approach to prioritising the welfare of children. It outlines the expectations for a wide range of safeguarding professionals and authorities, including schools. Understanding how to work with students, their caregivers, and external agencies will help you develop a collaborative approach to safeguarding.
