Participants will learn practical strategies for safeguarding children at both organisational and individual levels, highlighting the roles of direct and indirect child interactions. The course also emphasises the three Rs of safeguarding. By completing this course, learners will be well-equipped to ensure children’s safety and foster a nurturing environment.
Outline Learning Objectives:
- Define child safeguarding, its importance, and relevant legislation.
- Identify different types of safeguarding concerns and recognise their signs.
- Explain your role and broader responsibilities in safeguarding children.
- Apply the “Three Rs” framework (Recognising, Responding, Reporting) to child safeguarding situations, including responding to disclosures.
- Demonstrate a commitment to creating a safe environment for children and upholding their well-being.
