Overview

This course will help you understand what radicalisation is and who may be at risk. It will also detail signs to look out for and potential extremist influences. It will also explore the Prevent duty and what happens once a concern is raised about an individual.

Learning Outcomes

  • To gain an understanding of what is meant by radicalisation and the government strategy around this
  • To gain an understanding of what makes people more susceptible and support available to individuals at risk of radicalisation
  • To gain an understanding of the role of social care practitioners in prevention, identifying and supporting those at risk

Course Structure

This course has been designed in a non-linear and modular fashion which means you may complete the units in any order you wish.

The course will track your progress so don’t worry if you have to dip in and out.  There will be a knowledge check at the end of course which will become available once you have completed all of the prescribed units.
