Overview
Effective end of life care is essential to provide compassionate and comprehensive care for individuals nearing the end of their lives. In this course we look at the aim of end of life care, what it entails, and advance care planning.
Objectives
- Describe the aims of end of life care, and what end of life care entails
- Understand the relationship between end of life care and palliative care
- List the people who will be responsible for delivering the care, within both the primary healthcare team, and the specialist palliative care team
- Know the purpose and benefits of advance care planning
