Major world events such as pandemics, geo-political conflicts and economic crises can put people under a lot of pressure and leave them vulnerable. In addition, people spend more time on social media extremists have more opportunity to radicalise and recruit targets.

Preventing radicalisation is a challenge we can all help to combat. This course will set the foundations to help raise your awareness of radicalisation, and explore the best ways to reduce its effects and support others in the workplace.

Course Objectives

In this course, learners can expect to take away the following knowledge:

  • Eplain what radicalisation means and who might be at risk
  • Identify some signs that a person may be at risk of radicalisation
  • Demonstrate how to stay safe online to reduce the risk of radicalisation
  • Show how you can support colleagues to help reduce the risk of radicalisation
  • Summarise the actions you should take if you’re concerned about someone, and possible next steps for individuals in need of support
